On March 30, 2023 we went on a field trip to U.S. District Court. The SC Members were treated to presentations by Judge Jill Otake, U.S. Probation Office, U.S. Attorney's Office, Office of the Federal Public Defender and U.S. Marshals Service. The two things the students enjoyed most were pounding the judge's gavel and seeing the holding cell! It was a great experience for all!
To prepare for our field trip to U.S. District Court, we played a game without rules called the Paper Clip Game. This helped us to imagine a world without laws and why having societal rules and expectations are important.

On Wednesday, March 22 we had a mock trial to prepare us for our visit to U.S. District court next week. The case was Big Bad Wolf vs Curly Pig. Thank you to everyone with a role who practiced prior to the trail. Also we appreciate the work of our 2 teams of juries who found Pig innocent.

This year's Pedestrian Safety Week included: SC class visits, banner signing, a presentation from WalkWise Hawaii and a walk to school day! Thank you to all the SC Members for practicing their speeches for the class visits and helping with the banner signing!
At our March all-SC meeting on March 1, 2023 we prepared for Pedestrian Safety Week and our upcoming mock trial. The officers also taught us a fun game and Charlie entertained us with a Green Eggs and Ham song and dance!
