Holiday Spirit Week Planning

 Our 4th grade Student Council Members met at recess and lunch this week to share ideas and plan for our Holiday Spirit Week.

Fifth Grade After School Meeting

 On Wednesday, October 19, 2022 our fifth graders had their first after school meeting. We discussed the second class room visits and everyone agreed that they saw big improvements in their speaking! The fifth graders will be helping with our Fall Parade and our next service project, Operation Holiday Joy. We started planning for those two events and all the fifth graders are enthusiastic to help! 

October SCC Meeting

 On Monday, October 17, 2022 our Vice-President Mari represented all 'Ike students at the School Community Council and Parent Teacher Organization Meeting. Mari gave the Student Council Update and shared her thoughts about the changes at school this year with the loosening of COVID restrictions. 

Unity Day - Wednesday, October 19

 Thank you to all our SC Members who practiced and spoke to their classes and buddy classes about Unity Day!

Visit from Representative Okimoto

 At our October after school meeting, we shared information about our upcoming class visits for Unity Day. We also had a visit from Representative Val Okimoto who spoke on about service and also gave us some tips to help us become better speakers.

IHS Collection

 On September 29, we had our first service project of the school year for the Institute for Human Services. Our SC Members visited their classes and buddy classes to share information about the collection. Thank you to everyone who woke up early to join us on the collection day! Special thanks for Ruth's mom and Diego's mom for joining us and helping to keep all the donations organized! 

Sept 28 Fourth Grade Meeting

 The Fourth Grade Student Council had their first after-school meeting on September 28. We discussed ways that we wanted to improve our speaking during our class visits and did a fun energizer. The group also had a lot of ideas for our Holiday Spirit Week. We'll be meeting more after the fall break to continue brainstorming and planning. 

First Quarter 'Ike Pride Assembly

 Our Officers, Charlotte, Mari, Jett and Ka'iwa spent a lot of time practicing for our first school-wide assembly and their hard work paid off! The assembly went very smoothly and our students enjoyed learning the energizer and attention-getting that the Officers taught!

Mililani High School Homecoming Parade

 Our Student Council and CPOs cheered and marched in the MHS Homecoming Parade. Thank you to all the parents who brought your children out to participate! Special thanks to Jett's mom, Elle's mom, Ava's mom and Diego's dad for marching alongside us! 

First Student Council Meeting

We had our first SC meeting on Wednesday, September 7. This year we have 4 Officers and 19 Class Representatives. Our meeting included a greeting from Mrs. Ajifu, introductions and a fun energizer and ice breaker activity!
