Toys for Tots Collection

Our Toys for Tots Collection on December 4th was a huge success!

Thanksgiving Notes

To celebrate Thanksgiving the Student Council gave the upper grades an opportunity to write Thanksgiving Notes to teachers to show appreciation.

Cafeteria Worker Appreciation

On Friday, November 22 our Student Council Members gathered to show appreciation to our hard working cafeteria manager and staff. Thank you to Romy for making the poster, Analiese for drawing on the gift bag and Mariana for speaking on behalf of the students. 

Cusodial Appreciation

On Tuesday, November 19 the Student Council showed our awesome custodians how much we appreciate them! Tyler and Adam made the poster, Zhazen drew on the gift bag and Mariana spoke on behalf of the Student Council.

Thank you Ada!

We appreciate Ada for writing a thank you note to the Junior Judges speaker who presented the program to us last month. Nice job Ada!

Thank you to all the Student Council Members for coming into the office during recess and lunch to plan and work on our projects! 

Fall Parade

Thank you to our fifth grade Student Council Representatives for helping at the Fall Parade! 

Emma was a great MC and Brayden, Mariana, Sadie and Jonah lead the classes. 

Lunch Meetings

During our lunch meetings we are discussing problems or needs in our school and community. 

Our goal is for each of our lunch groups to plan a project or address a need in some way.

Junior Judges Program

Mr. Matthew Weyer from the Hawaii Bar Association presented the Junior Judges to our Student Council Members on October 23. The students discussed making good and lawful choices when facing tough situations. 

Next semester, we will be expanding on our citizenship training by having a mock trial and going on a field trip to U.S. District Court. 

Morning Announcements

All Student Council Members will have the opportunity to give the school wide morning announcements. They are all doing a great job so far!  

Clean Up Time!

MHS Homecoming Parade

Our Student Council represented 'Ike well at the Mililani High School Homecoming Parade! 

Even though we had the Fun Run earlier in the day, the SC Members showed their school and community pride by marching and cheering. 

First 'Ike Pride Assembly

Our Student Council Officers worked hard practicing for our first 'Ike Pride Assembly. In addition to announcing the names of the awardees they also taught our school an attention getter and energizer.

IHS Collection

Class Visits

All Student Council Members spoke to their class and buddy classes about the upcoming collection for the Institute for Human Services. 

Pedestrian Safety Week

Our second annual Pedestrian Safety Week included an assembly, banner signing, a Walk to School Day and viewing of a slide show and video created by Student Council Members. 

The planning for the video created this year started last school year, was written over the summer and filmed earlier this school year. Thank you to our Officers who worked hard to complete the video so our students could view it during Pedestrian Safety Week!
