Our students practiced and took part in a mock trial as part of our lesson on the court system and citizenship. Attorney, Mr. Stephen Pingree joined our group for the mock trial and gave our students insight on what it is like in a real courtroom trial.
After the trial, our two juries deliberated and found Curly Pig not liable to B.B. Wolf!

U.S. District Court Visit
Our field trip to Federal Court started with a hearing in Judge Seabright's court followed by a question and answer session with Judge Seabright and Hawaii Attorney General Douglas Chin.
Next, we were treated with a presentation by the U.S. Marshall Service which was a hit with all the students!
Our day at Court ended with a visit to Judge Kobayashi's courtroom where she answered questions from the students and then conducted a mock trial.
