Junior Judges Program

At this month's Student Council meeting we were fortunate to participate in the Junior Judges Program.

Mrs. Fukushima, an attorney from the Hawaii State Bar Association spoke to our group about various challenges faced by young students today. We learned about how we can all be a good "judge" in our own lives and make the right decisions.

The program was a great lesson on citizenship!

Fall Parade Helpers

Thank you to Ella who did a great job as emcee at our fall parade. Also we appreciate Brynn, Moran, Karli and Tyler who helped lead the grade levels during the parade. They all looked great!

Mililani Make a Difference Day

Thank you to the families who were able to join us at the Mililani Make a Difference Day! Also, thank you to the SC Members who made signs for the event. You all represented our school well and showed your 'Ike Pride!!

Shoebox Collection

Our SC Members worked hard to get out the word out and collected 377 shoeboxes to help homeless families. Special thanks to Mr. Tom and Mr. Young who helped with collecting, counting and bagging the donations. We collected 47% more boxes than last year so our dads were a huge help! Whew!

October Student Council Meeting

At our Student Council Meeting this month, we had a leadership lesson on making a difference through service to others. We talked about how even helping others in a small way can make a big difference in the lives of others. 
Toward the end of our meeting our Officers lead us in some energizers and the SC Members took turns leading us in different moves! We were also treated by a song by our talented Shane!
Our group is amazing and we are having so much fun getting to know each other :-).

First Quarter 'Ike Pride Assembly

Our Officers, Ella, Aidyn, Karli and Aaryn did a great job as emcees at our assembly. They also taught and lead the school in two energizers!

Classroom Visits

Student Council Members spoke to their classes about the upcoming Shoeboxes for the Homeless Collection. Many SC members brought in their shoeboxes to show their classes. Look at the beautiful box that Alicia made!

Induction Ceremony

Mrs. Ajifu held an Induction Ceremony for incoming Student Council Officers on May 26, 2015. Congratulations to our new Officers, Ella, Aidyn, Karli and Aaryn! 

Last Student Council Meeting

At our last Student Council of the school year our Officers lead the group in an energizer and we played a fun hula hoop game.

Primary Elections

Congratulations to SC Members, Shaynie, Aidyn, Aaryn, Cassidy, Tiffany and Ella who represented their classes in the Primary Elections. They all did a wonderful job and we are so proud of them! Thank you to Sierra who did a great job as emcee :-).

Ice Palace Field Trip for JPO and SC Members

As a thank you for their service to our school throughout the year,  JPO and Student Council Members enjoyed a fun day at the Ice Palace. The students enjoyed ice skating, music and the company of their friends,  along with a pizza lunch! Money for this field trip was earned through beverage sales at the two Eat the Street events this year. Thank you to the families who worked at our beverage tent this year and to Mr. Tanita who planned this awesome day for us!!

Institue of Human Services

On Saturday, April 11, 2015 some of our SC Families were able to meet at IHS to sort the items that were collected at our toiletry and food drive. We helped to sort and organize toiletry items, and donated clothing. We also had the opportunity to tour the facility and learn more about the organization.
