Shoeboxes for the Homeless Collection

Mililani 'Ike students donated 256 filled shoeboxes to those in need. Thank you to Student Council Members who shared information about this service project with their classes and came out to help with the collection!

Mililani Make a Difference Day

On Sunday, October 25th, JPOs and Student Council Members participated in Make a Difference Day. Thank you to all the families who were able to join us!

Mililani High School Homecoming Parade

The Student Council along with Hype marched in the MHS parade on Friday, September 26, 2014. Thank you to Jack, who lead the Student Council in cheers along the parade route!

Movie Drive Service Project

Thank you to the 4th Grade Student Council Members who collected movie donations for the Mililani High School Service Project. The donations will be distributed to the Ronald McDonald House and YMCA.

Promoting Traffic and Pedestrian Safety

On September 17, 2014 our Student Council Members and the Honolulu Police Department promoted traffic and pedestrian safety. As you can see, we had a very enthusiastic group! Special thanks to Tyler's parents who brought us a cool treat after our sign-waving!

Third Grade Meeting

At our 3rd grade meeting we discussed upcoming events and got to know each other better.

Our first meeting!

Student Council Officers lead our SC group in a fun energizer during our first meeting of the school year. At our meeting we shared quite a bit of information but made some time for fun too!

Complex Officer Training

On August 14th our Officers attended a training that included SC Officers from all Mililani public schools. The training included inspirational messages on leadership from Senator Dela Cruz and State House Representatives Fukumoto and Matsumoto. Each Officer also learned about their individual roles  and experienced how a SC Meeting should be conducted. Of course there was also some fun... with ice breakers, energizers and delicious snacks and lunch!

New School Year Planning!

Our Student Council Officers met on August 13 to start our planning for the new school year!

An Induction Ceremony was held for our newly elected Student Council Officers for next school year. Congratulations to Jack, Ella, Donovan and Tiffany! We hope to get a short video of the ceremony up on our school blog within the next few days...keep an eye out for it!

Our Last Lunch Together

2013-14 Student Council Members enjoyed their time together at our end of year pizza lunch. As our last act of service, we donated the money we would have spent on school lunch toward a charity. After discussing a few charity options we all decided on the Wounded Warrior Project!

At the end of our lunch, each  Student Council member was given a Student Council pin and a Jack Johnson CD as a memory of our year together.

Hawaiian Humane Society Goods Drive

Our HHS Collection was a  great success! Thank you to our HHS Committee Members : Emily, Jordyn, Cedric, Bryleigh, Ella and Cassidy for helping to plan this fun service project. Thanks also to Mr. Young (Tyler's dad) who helped during the collection and drove our donations to HHS. I appreciated the offers of help from other families too. This was our last service project of the year...job well done!

  

Bottle Cap Collection Challenge!

Some of our Student Council Members accepted the certificate presented to us for collecting the most bottle caps for the 2014 Hawaii School Bottle Cap Collection Challenge. We were also treated to a mini-concert by Jack Johnson.  Way to go, Mililani 'Ike!

Primary Election

Congratulations to Student Council Members: Chevelle, Jack, Rianna, Tanner, Cassidy, Ella, Tyler and Bryleigh who represented their classes in the Primary Election. Kyrie was our emcee and she did a great job! Best of luck to Jack, Rianna, Tanner and Tyler who are moving on the the General Election!

Hawaiian Humane Society Tour

To prepare for our upcoming Hawaiian Humane Society service project, SC Members and their families participated in a tour of the HHS facility. The tour included an educational talk, tour of the facility and some time with the animals.
